5 Windows 8 Features Already Leaked

Since its release, Windows 7 has been proved to be the fastest sold OS ever as more than 150 million items have been sold out within nine months so far. It is said that per second 5 copies of Windows 7 are being sold all over the world. However, Microsoft is not satisfied with this success and the giant software company is said to be working on Windows 8 and launch it probably in the first quarter of 2012. There are Winrumors in the market considering what would be the improvements or additions in the Windows 8. Nevertheless, the leaks and flat out conjecture have disclosed some valuable features of the next OS that are given below.

Windows App Store (or Windows Store)

Blackberry, Android (Marketplace) and Apple (iTunes) all of them have an application repository and therefore, chances are bright that Microsoft will add a bit of ‘store’ to Windows 8. As a result, Microsoft will be allowed to purchase a single location for all supporting applications. It will be beneficial for the users, since the operating system of their version will be compatible with the ‘Store’ applications. Nonetheless, as Android and iPhone or iPad PR campaigns had been carried out successfully, Microsoft will also follow the same path.

Internet Explorer 9

Internet Explorer 9 is going to be release in August or September. Needless to say, Windows 8 will adapt IE 9, which would be the dominant web browser put forth by Microsoft along with the improvements and whole set of features. Some years back, Microsoft recognized that their 5 year old browser as archaic and released Internet Explorer 7 at the end of 2006. As compared to IE 6, the IE 7 was out for just a few seconds and within 18 months during the first phase of 2009; they released IE 8 which is regarded as the current web browser pertaining to the IE 6.

Improved Gesture and Touch Technique

Of course, the tablet version of Microsoft namely Windows XP might not be the best, although it tried its best, yet there lacks something. The sound example is that when you try to re-install the Windows XP Tablet as a fresh copy, it would never work. Indeed, the interface is surely not bad, yet it has bugs. When we consider Windows 8, the gestures seems an astonishing addition as the Firefox gestures are doing well owing to the complex functions they can perform very quickly.

Novel technologies

Motion detection and facial recognition will be the attractions of Windows 8. With every laptop and netbook, using the web camera is commonplace. No wonder if Windows 8 PC will automatically log you in when your face is being recognized.

Faster Boot

Microsoft is very well acquainted with the fact that the Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) decreases the time for booting and the BIOS is dead as well as fails to handle some cool features that the EFI can do. EFI is said to be supported by Windows whereby OS can load in a few seconds.
